Marcus Gilbert is the Associate Broker and and auctioneer with Riverside Realty & Auction, Inc. He was born in Tazewell, Virginia where he was raised on the family farm. Marcus is married with one child and resides in Roanoke, Virginia.
Marcus began his real estate and auction career in 1987. He is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Virginia Auctioneers Association and has served as Vice president of the Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors. He was the recipient of the 20ll “ Realtor of the Year.” Marcus has served on the Governmental Affairs Committee which functions to interact with Legislators and Policy Makers to promote Private Property ownership and issues important to consumers and Realtors. Marcus was recognized as 2011 and 2015 Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors Chairperson of the Year and received an award for Innovation in the field. Marcus has received numerous state and national awards for advertising excellence and was twice named Tazewell County's “Best” Realtor.
Marcus is involved with many civic activities and has served as President of the Tazewell County Fair Association and recipient of the “Volunteer of the Year “ Award. He co-hosted a television program for two years called United Country-Country Lifestyles that depicted the benefits of living in the country and on the farm.

As an avid outdoorsman, Marcus specializes in listing and selling all types of mountain property including hunting, fishing and other recreational properties as well as timberland and farms and commercial property.
